Lumbini Lions vs Pokhara Avengers Prediction
Nepal Premier League · T20 · Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground
Lumbini Lions head into this contest at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground on the back of an impressive run, winning 7 of their last 10 outings and boasting strong familiarity with this venue. Pokhara Avengers, despite a higher scoring average of 156 in their recent matches, have converted fewer games into wins, suggesting their batting depth hasn't always translated into results.
The surface is tipped to offer fast, bouncy conditions that reward disciplined pace bowling over spin, while batting is rated only average – a setup that could suit Lumbini's bowling attack if they can exploit the extra carry. Light rain around match time adds an element of uncertainty, potentially shortening the contest or affecting continuity of play.
With the head-to-head edge, superior venue record, and better recent win conversion, Lumbini Lions appear better placed to handle the conditions, though Pokhara's superior scoring rate means this could be a closely fought encounter if the weather allows a full match.
Lumbini Lions are favoured on the back of consistent recent form, a strong record at this venue, and conditions that lean towards pace and bounce – an area where they have historically thrived; however, Pokhara Avengers' superior scoring ability keeps them firmly in contention should the weather allow a full contest.
